Photo walks in Norfolk and Suffolk
Discover unique locations and spend a day dedicated to your camera
Join us on a photo walk, held monthly in hand-picked venues across East Anglia. Photo walks offer the chance to spend a day with fellow photographers, learn more about your camera and take home some incredible photos.
"It was a really brilliant day, how lucky we were to spend it in such a treasure trove with so many different places to explore in such amazing surroundings. What a find! Thank you too for your patience and gentle guidance, and your understanding that no question is too silly to ask."
How a photo walk works
The day is spent with a group of up to ten photographers, in a friendly, supportive atmosphere. Many people come to more than one walk so friendships have built up over time and there is a very special atmosphere of encouragement and fun. Photographers of all abilities are welcome.
We spend the morning exploring the venue with myself as your guide. I'll offer technical advice should you require it, and guide you towards particular photo opportunities. You'll also have an hour of free time to go back and explore areas we may have missed.
In the afternoon, we spend time reviewing our work, picking our favourites and sharing them with the rest of the group. It is amazing how one subject can look so different through ten different pairs of eyes.
Please see below for this year's venues.
Venues are pre-booked and are sometimes closed to the public on the day we visit, allowing us exclusive access and a more relaxed day.
Each photo walk costs £35 and runs from 10am-3.30pm.

Some wonderful words from previous participants
"A big thank you to you, Lucy; it was a really brilliant day, how lucky we were to spend it in such a treasure trove with so many different places to explore in such amazing surroundings. What a find! Thank you too for your patience and gentle guidance, and your understanding that no question is too silly to ask." - Sue
"Being a relative beginner, I was a little apprehensive at attending, but need not have worried. Right from the start Lucy made everyone feel at ease. She was brilliant at explaining things and guided us to areas that offered the most promise for our photo sessions. We were left to explore and shoot at our own pace, but Lucy was always on hand to help if things weren’t quite going to plan. Everyone in the group was really supportive and happy to share advice and techniques." - Linda
"Your technical knowledge coupled with such a calm approach to supporting us, makes these walks an enjoyable way to improve my photography." - Martin
"I have been on several photo walks with Lucy and she does a great job of inspiring the participants with interesting venues. She is on-hand all the time to help with technical know how, encourage and to point out changes in light and perspective. All the participants can edit their photos and share their favourites at the end of the day in a supportive atmosphere the experience as each venue is seen through other eyes and different ideas and knowledge can be passed on. I have learnt so much in a short time from fellow photographers as well as from Lucy herself - highly recommended." - Helen
"You have reignited a passion in me that has been unfortunately lying dormant for a long time. Once upon a time it was unheard of for me to leave the house without my camera slung over my shoulder but that was back in the days when cameras were so much simpler to operate. You have shown me that I can still keep it simple in this very technical world and to still be able to create something amazing, thank you." - Karen
